Spiritual Principle: [THEME]

A publication of the PR & Literature Committee, Psychedelics in Recovery™. [One sentence about this issue's theme or focus.]

Opening Poem Category

[Poem Title]

Optional. A short poem (8–20 lines) on the issue theme, submitted by a member or written for the issue. Free verse works well. Leave this section out if no poem was submitted.
[First stanza — 3 to 5 lines. Each line on its own line here. Captures the emotional core of the theme.][Second stanza — another 3 to 5 lines. The poem can be as short as two stanzas or continue for several more.][Closing stanza — landing on the theme with something that lingers in the mind after the reader moves on.]

Feature Article Category

[Article Title — Descriptive, 4–8 Words]

Main editorial or member-submitted article. Target 600–1,200 words. Can be personal story, editorial, or research-light reflection. Always aligns with the issue theme.

[Opening paragraph. The drop-cap will automatically apply to the first letter of the first paragraph. Write a strong, compelling opening sentence that draws the reader in.]

[Second paragraph. Develop the central idea. This is where the author's voice comes through. Personal experience, reflection, or a question the article will explore.]

"[A resonant sentence pulled from the article body — ideally one that captures the core insight or emotional peak of the piece.]"

[Sub-heading — Optional]

[Continue the article. Sub-headings can be added when the article has distinct sections or moves through multiple ideas. Use sparingly.]

[Closing paragraph. Land on something that connects back to the opening, completes a thought, or leaves the reader with something to carry.]

Step Reflection · Step [N] Category

[Step Reflection Title]

Step [N]: [Full text of the step as PIR® phrases it.]

200–600 words. Contemplative, honest, grounded in the step. Can use "we" language or "I" language. Often structured around a theme — e.g. surrender, inventory, amends. Pull quotes work well here.

[Opening reflection on the step. What does this step ask of us? What is the emotional texture of it?]

[Explore a misconception or common resistance to this step. What do people fear about it? What does it actually mean to practice it?]

"[A pull quote from within the step reflection. Something that reframes the step in a way that surprises or comforts.]"

[Optional sub-heading — e.g. "A Practical Approach" or "What This Step Offers"]

[Continue the reflection. Bring it back to the fellowship, to recovery, to everyday life.]

[Closing paragraph. End with something open-ended — an invitation rather than a conclusion.]
