Getting Started Guide

Step 1: Install a Web3 Wallet

A crypto wallet is our digital identity on the blockchain. Our wallet address (e.g., 0x1234...5678) is public and used to receive tokens. Our private key is like our password—never share it!

Recommended Wallets:

Installation Steps:

  1. Visit the wallet's official website
  2. Download the browser extension or mobile app
  3. Create a new wallet
  4. CRITICAL: Write down our seed phrase (12-24 words) and store it safely offline
  5. Never share our seed phrase or private key with anyone

Step 2: Get ETH for Gas Fees

Gas is the fee paid to blockchain validators for processing our transactions. Think of it like postage for sending a letter.

How to Get ETH:

  • Buy on an exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Binance) and withdraw to our wallet
  • Use a faucet (for testnets only) — free small amounts for testing
  • Receive from a friend — have them send to our wallet address

How Much Do You Need?

  • Start with $20-50 worth of ETH for gas fees
  • Most transactions cost $1-10 depending on network congestion

Step 3: Connect Our Wallet to the dApp

  1. Visit the Ethereal Offering dApp (URL provided by community)
  2. Click "Connect Wallet" button in the top right
  3. Select our wallet from the list

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Psanctuary.org's Mission?

Psanctuary is a decentralized spiritual community advocating for religious freedom and the sacred use of entheogenic sacraments. We integrate ancient plant medicine wisdom with modern blockchain technology, creating a sovereign space for spiritual exploration, healing, and collective growth. Our mission is to preserve and protect the right to use sacred mushrooms as tools for consciousness expansion and divine connection.

2. What is a Blockchain and Why Does It Matter?

A blockchain is a decentralized, immutable ledger that records transactions across a network of computers. For Psanctuary, this means our spiritual offerings, NFT collections, and governance votes are permanently recorded and cannot be censored or controlled by any central authority. It's the technological foundation for true digital sovereignty and religious freedom.

3. What is a Wallet and How Do I Use It?

A crypto wallet (like MetaMask) is our digital identity on the blockchain. Our wallet address (e.g., 0x1234...5678) is like a bank account number—it's public and used to receive tokens. Our private key is like our password—never share it! Connect our wallet to interact with our dApp, sign transactions, and manage our digital assets.

4. What is Gas and Why Do I Need It?

Gas is the fee paid to blockchain validators for processing our transactions. Think of it like postage for sending a letter. On our platform, Daily Mushroom tokens (ERC-20) act as gas currency for cross-breeding, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem where our daily farming directly powers our genetic experiments.

5. What is PSD (Psanctuary Dollar)?

PSD is a stablecoin pegged to USD, designed for stable trading within the Ethereal Offering ecosystem. It's an ERC-20 token that maintains a 1:1 value with the US Dollar, providing a reliable medium of exchange for all platform transactions without the volatility of other cryptocurrencies.

6. What is ETHO (Ethereal Token)?

ETHO is the primary governance and utility token of the Ethereal Offering platform. As an ERC-20 token, it's used for voting on proposals, burning at the altar for Proof of Burn NFTs, and participating in the ecosystem's economic activities. Holding ETHO gives you a voice in our decentralized spiritual community.

7. What's the difference between ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens?

ERC-20 tokens (like ETHO, PSD, Daily Mushrooms) are fungible—each token is identical and divisible, like dollars. we can have 0.5 ETHO.

ERC-721 tokens (like Mushroom Farm NFTs, Proof of Burn NFTs, Hybrid Mushrooms) are non-fungible—each is unique and indivisible, like a one-of-a-kind artwork or certificate. we can't have 0.5 of an NFT.

8. How does the Mushroom Farm work?

Inoculate our substrate and mist regularly to maintain proper fruiting conditions. After colonization (8 hours), our first flush is ready! Harvest creates a unique ERC-721 NFT of our complete farm with multiple psilocybin mushrooms. Additionally, collect a single Daily Mushroom (ERC-20) every 24 hours—these act as gas currency for cross-breeding experiments.

9. What is Cross-Breeding?

Cross-Breeding allows you to combine two parent mushrooms to create unique Hybrid Mushroom NFTs (ERC-721). Each breeding attempt consumes Daily Mushroom tokens (ERC-20) as gas, creating rare genetic combinations. It's like real mycology—experimenting with genetics to discover new strains and properties!

10. What happens when I burn tokens at the Altar?

Like sublimation in alchemy, where matter transforms from solid to gas without passing through liquid, our ETHO tokens undergo a sacred transformation—transcending their material form to become eternal proof of our spiritual offering. This is the alchemical principle of releasing oneself from material attachment (magic) into spiritual light (divine consciousness). You receive a soulbound Proof of Burn NFT (ERC-721) that eternally records our offering on the blockchain.

Important: Burned tokens go to the treasury (not destroyed), where they fund ceremonies, scholarships, and community projects. This is Proof-of-Giving, not Proof-of-Burn in the traditional sense.

11. How does the AMM/Swap work?

Our Automated Market Maker (AMM) allows you to swap between ERC-20 tokens (ETHO, PSD, Daily Mushrooms) using liquidity pools. Provide liquidity to earn fees from trades. All swaps use the constant product formula (x * y = k) for fair, decentralized pricing without intermediaries.

12. What is a Faucet?

A blockchain faucet is a tool that dispenses small amounts of cryptocurrency for free, usually for testing purposes. If you're new to crypto and need gas fees to get started, faucets can provide you with a small amount of ETH or testnet tokens to begin our journey.

13. What is Staking and Liquidity?

Staking means locking our tokens to support network operations and earn rewards.

Liquidity provision means depositing token pairs into a pool so others can trade—you earn fees from each swap.

Both are ways to put our tokens to work and earn passive income while supporting the ecosystem.
